Currently I am surrounded by unfinished work – this one, however, was completed late last year and I neglected to post it because it was a composition a friend and I attempted at the same time, for practice and mutual study purposes more than anything else.

Eggs and Urn, study, 2015

The urn is an amazing prop – a timeless, curvy, terracotta beauty.

I’ve been drawing more than I’ve been painting actually – getting back to basics and rediscovering the potential for beauty in a simple line. I’ve also been trying my hand at plein air. So far so rusty, but hopefully will have something to show for the hours in the sun before too long.
